Have you been to the Beauty and Essex NYC located at the heart of the lower east side? This 250-seat restaurant owned by renowned New York City chef, Chris Santos. Since it’s opening in late 2010, it has caused a real buzz and raving reviews from New Yorkers. You might have seen Chris Santos on the Food Network show Chopped, as he is a guest judge occasionally.
Beauty and Essex NYC is located on 146 Essex St, between Rivington and Stanton St, New York, NY 10002. This 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant that serves a multi-ethnic menu is able to entertain groups that would like to celebrate any kind of events to mark a memorable occasion. There are various dining rooms, pleasantly named each which are appropriately set to accommodate groups, depending on the size of the party.
If you have never been to Beauty and Essex NYC, you will probably be a little puzzled with how the entrance is a fully functional pawnshop. It has electric guitars hanging on its wall and furniture from its former tenant. Past the large door, you enter into a very posh area with spiral staircase, chandelier and friendly hostesses. Hey, they even have champagne service in the Ladies bathroom. Talk about attention to details!

There are suitably sized rooms to accommodate between 10 to 400 guests. The Vault Room accommodates a group of twenty guests comfortably, stocked with wine boxes and dedicated bar for convenience. The Grand and Gold room is another option for birthday celebration or an exclusive get together of girlfriends. The Locket Room are choices of some for company functions, engagement party or celebration of the Golden Wedding Anniversary. There is even a DJ booth, so you may consider engaging your own DJ for a private function. Beauty and Essex NYC might have their suggested company for DJ during your event but that is something you might have to contact them personally to discuss. When dining more than 10 persons, you are required to make reservations to avoid disappointment and to pre-select your menu. This might be a little tricky if all your girlfriends have a mind of their own or its almost impossible to get 10 different women to settle on what they want to eat. Maybe your best bet is to order as many varieties as possible. Then, if a particular dish is not favorable, they can always eat the other dishes. Well, the likelihood of anyone disliking the famous Beauty and Essex NYC meals is slim but then again, everyone is different.
